Jesus
came to save the entire world from sin. This freedom
from our sins is available to anyone who wants it. We
need to accept that Jesus is the Son of God sent by God
in his mercy to save a lost and dying world from it's
sins. Jesus took the punishment for our sins on our
behalf by dying on the cross. He then rose again by the
power of God breaking the power of sin over us forever.
Like any gift the salvation
from our sins through Jesus is free, we just have to
accept it. If you would like to accept this gift then I
have included a simple prayer to help you do this. If
you have any Christian friends or acquaintances, ask
them to pray it with you (it is still valid to pray this
alone).
Dear Father
God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I
acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry
for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your
forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed
His
precious
blood
on the cross and died for my sins, and I am now
willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, (Romans 10:9) that if we
confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that
God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I
believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very
moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior
and according to His Word, right now I am saved.
Help me remain to faithful to You all the days of my
life in order that I may receive a crown of
righteousness and dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
In Jesus' precious name,
Amen.
After
praying this prayer you need to start spending time with
Christians who will help you grow in your knowledge and
understanding of God. Christianity is about
relationships, both with God and with fellow Christians.
You should find a church to go to. If you have Christian
friends or acquaintances they can probably help you with
this. Otherwise mail us at
info@destinyforum.org and we will be glad to put you
in touch with some Christians in your area. |
